Kahwet el balad

A friend recommended this restaurant for lunch, I am so glad she did! We were right on the beach and have nice shade from the umbrellas, even though it was the beginning of November and fairly hot. The presentation was gorgeous! We had a plate as well as eggplant and hummus. I wish they would’ve had larger drinks. I had the tiniest Perrier. We were a bit rushed and eating our food. Something I have not experienced in any other Lebanese restaurant, and this is my fifth visit to Lebanon. Our waiters and waitresses were still very respectful. It was just strange to be rushed when the tables around us were empty.

Traditional Lebanese with a modern twist! I honestly love it, the location and the atmosphere are very pleasant, the menu is rich and prices are convenient. If you are passing by Tyre then you should definitely visit kahwet el balad for a coffee, breakfast, or lunch, followed by a nice walk by the sea right in front of it .. enjoy

The ambiance is great. The place looks so nice, and is very clean. I personally didn’t love the food, But my mom loved it and love every single moment. The ventilation helps so much with the shisha smoke, for a non smoker, I didn’t feel bad like I usually do in other places.

I've been wanting to try this place for quite while. For breakfast today this was the pace in mind. We ordered the 80 cm mankoushe made up of lahme baajin, keshek, basal w banadoura, zaatar and jebne w seje2. We ordered labneh baladiyeh on the side to dip the zaatar in plus 2 cups of tea. The mankoushe was tasty. The ambience of tge restaurant is really nice, the old style. Service was fastt. But I thought the place was a bit overpriced.
