Byblos Sur Mer originally built in 1967, as a charming boutique hotel where modern luxury marries an odyssey of 7,000 years of history. It is exquisitely located at the edge of the sea, and at the most prominent spot of Byblos Harbor, Byblos Sur Mer hotel provides privacy and serenity in a truly charming setting and offers its guests the comforts of a home at the heart of a legend. Byblos Sur Mer overlooks the ancient Byblos port and castle on one side and a panoramic view of the Mediterranean sea on the other, in a carefully decorated space furnished with local art and artisanal wares, ancient relics and precious items from private collections.
Superb location on sea. Clean and tidy despite a few flies at the restaurant. Delicious Lebanese and sea food. The front desk manager, Katie, was very kind and cooperative. So was the lady at the restaurant. Byblos is worth visiting again whenever we travel to Lebanon because of this hotel.
Just visited last week and all I can say is WOW. The hotel is very clean, well designed, and service/staff was excellent and friendly. Location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Byblos. Had a room by the water and view was incredible. Yes, there is a lounge located right in front of the hotel and music is a bit loud, but didn't bother us at all. Once the balcony door is closed, you could barely hear it. Hotel has a very nice summer vibe and I will definitely be staying there again. As mentioned, staff is excellent, helpful and very understanding. There were no issues with check-in or check-out (late check-out). They also provide beach towels if you need them. Lastly, the breakfast is incredible, great food, great views. Can't complain at all, we loved it!
Nice hotel, excellent location 👌, next to the sea 🌊, friendly staff
4 stars is just because of the 24 hour generator noise, and the waiters at the breakfast weren’t very friendly. Otherwise, the reception staff were very nice and helpful. The sea view is absolutely beautiful!
Great spot overall. I really enjoyed my stay at BYBLOS SUR MER . In the morning, the breakfast area has a beautiful view — it’s not perfect, but it’s genuinely a great place to sit, relax, and start the day. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The entrance of the hotel is also very nice and gives a welcoming first impression. The location is another plus: it’s close to Jbeil and just a short walk from the area where the boats are parked, which makes the surroundings even nicer. One thing I really liked was the bed — it was very comfortable, and I slept great. However, a few things could be improved. The room design felt a bit off — the toilet was separated in a way that wasn’t very comfortable. The service was okay, nothing special, and the food didn’t really live up to what I expected. There’s also no pool, which would’ve been great to cool off, but at the same time it makes the hotel still a nice option in winter since you don’t really need one then. Overall, still a decent place, but with a few areas that could be better.
