Ai shares its love of great food through the combination of the purity of Japanese Zen cuisine with the complex flavors and techniques of greater Asia. A venue setting of refined elegance, where you can explore your senses and indulge in a seductive paradox. This restaurant, bar and lounge excels at crafting experiences born of innovation and a respect for purity in everything it does. Ai’s modern Asian menu changes with every season and uses only natural, sustainably sourced produce.
The restaurant is amazing. The food was excellent, it is a mix of Chinese and Japanese food. Make sure to book a table at least 4 days prior to your visit especially when it is on the weekend. If you’re two you will be seated at the bar which disappointed me at the first place but then I realized that the bar was very comfortable and very close to the barman so you can order faster your drinks. The food was pricey, we paid about 180$ for two drinks included. The only bad part was the fact that it was very cold in the restaurant (we were in August).
AI Restaurant in Beirut offers a stylish and modern atmosphere with a sophisticated vibe….The food is creative and beautifully presented, with a focus on fusion cuisine that blends local and international flavors….The sushi and seafood dishes were fresh and flavorful, though some of the mains could use a bit more seasoning…..The service was friendly though slightly slow at times….Overall, AI provides a solid dining experience with great ambiance good music and quality food. A worthy solid four-star choice for any foodie in Beirut!
Ai Restaurant Beirut is one of the best places to go on Sunday for its diversified Buffet. The atmosphere is amazing, the service is great, and the food is very good. It would be perfect if they refill or put more quantity in the Sushi/Oysters section. But all in all, it is a very successful concept, and the live band is a good plus.
I would say I have some mixed feelings. The place is very nice, the music was good, the service was amazing. As for the food...it is on the steep side... so you would expect an exceptional experience... which I didn't. The portions are not very big, the crab salad was average, the dim sum were mediocre, the shrimp tempura was good with a tasty wasabi dip, the spicy salmon roll was disappointing, the sauteed mushrooms were the best dish we had...exceptional, and the wagyu steak was very good. So overwhole you have to know what to choose.
A great place in the heart of downtown Beirut. A little hard to spot if you do not know where it is but worth a search. They have a brunch on Sundays, when we went and also alacarte during the week. The food was very good as was the service. The band was spectacular and created a great atmosphere. Very good all around. A little pricy but worth the trouble.
